How are nicotine salts different from regular/freebase e-liquid?

Throat hit: The key difference with nicotine salts is the throat hit. Regular e-liquid, when used with high nicotine levels, can deliver a harsh throat hit. While this is similar to that of smoking, some vapers prefer the smooth hit nic salts can deliver. However, do note that throat hit is also influenced by VG:PG levels, and some regular e-liquids with a higher level of VG can also deliver a smoother throat hit, especially when used with lower nicotine levels.

Nicotine salts are better for vapers who prefer a smooth throat hit. Some research suggests they also deliver nicotine faster than regular (freebase) e-liquid) They work particularly well with both high nicotine levels and menthol flavours, as these can be harsh on the throat otherwise. If you prefer a strong throat hit, or vape low/ zero nicotine e-liquid, you may be better off with regular freebase e-liquid.

How do you use nic salts?

You use nic salts just like any other e-liquids. Simply insert the tip of the bottle into the filling port of your tank or pod and squeeze to fill, making sure not to go past the fill line. If using a new pod or coil, allow five minutes to soak in before vaping.

What are the best vape devices for nicotine salts?

We recommend using lower-powered starter devices and vape pods for use with nicotine salts. For more concentrated flavours such as Elifliq, we have found that the best device to use is the Vaporesso Xros 4 with a 0.6 or 0.8ohm pod.

Can you get zero nicotine salts?

Both salt and freebase refer to the type of nicotine used. As zero nicotine e-liquid does not contain nicotine, it can’t be called a nic salt or freebase e-liquid. However, you can choose to add salt nicotine shots to a zero nicotine shortfill e-liquid, which would turn it into a nicotine salt.
