Discover our exquisite collection of 50/50 shortfills. Coming in generous 40ml, 50ml or 100ml, these larger bottles of vape juice offer the savvy vaper great cost savings over regular 10ml e-liquid. Each 50/50 shortfill comes with a VG:PG 50:50 ratio, making them ideal for use in lower-powered vape devices such as starter kits and pod systems. 50/50 shortfills are nicotine free, but come with a space to add 1 or 2 nic shots - choose nic salt shots for a smooth inhale or or freebase nic shots for a moderate throat hit.
What’s the difference between 50/50 shortfills and a 10ml vape juice?
Shortfills typically come with 50ml or 100ml of vape juice, which means you can get 5 or 10 times more e–liquid per bottle at a much lower cost per ml. In contrast to most 10ml bottles, shortfills are nicotine-free, but are only filled to 80% to allow you to add nicotine shots.
As they come with the same VG:PG ratio as 10ml bottles, 50/50 shortfills produce the same amount of vapour and work with low-powered, Mouth-to-Lung vape devices such as starter kits, vape pens and pod systems.
What is the difference between 50/50 and High-VG shortfills?
The difference between these e-liquids is their VG:PG ratio.
50/50 shortfills have a VG:PG 50:50 ratio. This makes them suited to a Mouth-to-Lung (MTL) vape style and use with lower-powered vape devices that use higher-resistance coils. This formulation and their use with less powerful devices mean they will produce less vapour than higher-VG shortfills.
High-VG shortfills usually have a ratio of VG:PG 70:30 or higher - making them more suited for Direct-Lung (DL) vaping and for use with higher-powered mod and pod mod kits that use lower-resistance coils. The higher VG (Vegetable Glycerine) content means these juices provide more vapour than 50/50 shortfills or regular 10mls.
Which tastes better, 50/50 or 70/30 shortfills?
In general, 70/30 shortfills used with high-wattage devices deliver more flavour than 50/50 shortfills. While PG is purported to carry more flavour, VG:PG 70:30 vape juices deliver more vapour and can often be more flavourful. That said, the flavour recipe is often adjusted to suit the type of vape juice, so you probably won’t notice a huge difference.
What device should I use my 50/50 shortfill with?
50/50 shortfills can be used with any device that uses regular VG:PG 50:50 vape juice.. This includes vape pens and most pod kits. See our regularly updated Best Vape Kits and Best Vape Starter Kits for help selecting the right device for your needs.
What is the throat hit like with 50/50 shortfills?
The VG:PG 50:50 ratio in 50/50 shortfills means the throat hit will be moderately smooth, although not as smooth as with VG:PG 70:30 shortfills. If you are using them with nicotine you can adjust the throat hit by adding nic salt shots (for a smoother throat hit) or freebase nic shots (for a moderate throat hit). Note that throat hit is impacted by nicotine levels, and the low nicotine levels in shortfills means the throat hit is unlikely to ever be harsh.
What nicotine strength can I get with a shortfill?
After adding a 1.8% nic shot to a 50ml shortfill, or two nic shots to a 100ml shortfill, you will have a 3mg/ml (0.3%) e-liquid. You can also use them without adding a shot to enjoy a nicotine-free vape. However, if you prefer stronger nicotine levels, or are trying to switch from smoking to vaping, we recommend using premixed 10ml vape juice.
